  • More evidence of a Vivo Watch has now surfaced.
  • Live-action shots and specs of the wearable have been shared on Weibo by Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station.
  • The Vivo Watch could launch later this month in China for around $150.

If the sheer number of smartwatch launches at IFA just wasn’t enough, there could be yet another coming in the form of the Vivo Watch.

More details of the wearable have now leaked via Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. Unlike its BBK stablemates from Oppo and Realme, the Vivo Watch seemingly employs a traditional rounded watch design.

Per the leak, a choice of 42mm and 46mm faces with AMOLED screens will be on offer. The former option has a similar protruding button layout to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 while the larger 46mm unit has an etched bezel with more svelte buttons along its flank. Both body options use stainless steel. You can see both sizes with three strap options below.

Health-tracking features are also said to be included on the Vivo Watch. A heart-rate monitor apparently joins a blood oxygen saturation sensor while the wearable can also reportedly track caloric burn. The watch is also water-resistant up to 5ATM, but we not sure swimming with its leather straps would be such a great idea.

Vivo’s Jovi digital assistant also reportedly makes an appearance, while NFC for mobile payments is also supported. A quoted battery life of up to 18 days sweetens the deal while native music playback could also be included.

As for the OS, the tipster does not believe it runs Google’s Wear OS, at least not in China. It could employ a similar operating system to the Realme Watch, but there’s no evidence suggesting this at present.

That said, we may not have to wait long to find out. The Vivo Watch’s release date is reportedly penned for the end of September in China. The price may be set at around 1,000 Chinese yuan (~$146), which would place it snugly between its ~$300 Oppo Watch and ~$50 Realme Watch siblings.
