These were cheaper than other active noise canceling-capable buds on the market at the time and boasted pretty good-sounding audio. Now, the HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i are in town. About this HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i review: I tested the HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i over a period of 10 days. The earbuds ran firmware version F001H003C90. I used a OnePlus 9 Pro running OxygenOS 13.0 and Android 13 with HUAWEI AI Life app version HarmonyOS 2.1.0.170. The unit was purchased by Android Authority for this review.
